Founders Scholarship
The Founders Scholarship was established in 1998 to be awarded to a local area student interested in textile art to provide educational assistance to further their career. The Scholarship Committee chose applicants in the spring of each year. A scholarship of up to $1,000 was awarded by the guild.
In 2012, Faithful Circle changed the focus of the scholarship distribution to a donation. $1,000 was donated to the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky. The funds were distributed by that organization to sponsor quilters furthering their education.
In 2015, Faithful Circle made a $1,000 donation to the International Quilt Study Center and Museum at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Center and Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, studying, and exhibiting and promoting discovery of quilts and quilt making traditions from many cultures, countries and times. The funds help fund educational activities within the Museum.
