Join us for a wool applique’ workhop (Birds and Blooms) delivered by the ever entertaining Jill Shaulis from Yellowcreek Quilts. If you’ve never tried wool applique’ this will be fun. If you’ve never taken a class from Jill, this is your chance. For all skill levels. Don’t miss it!

Maybe you are looking for a change of pace.  Or, has it been a while since you’ve done wool applique and you’d like to sharpen your skills?  Or maybe it is time to try something new – a portable project that you can take anywhere – no sewing machine required!  Minimal supplies and tools. 

This workshop is for you! 

Wool fabric, often felted or pre-felted, is used for the decorative shapes that are handstitched to a background fabric, in this case, also wool.  Popular choices include blanket stitch, whip stitch, and other decorative hand stitches.  Unlike some other applique methods,

This sweet project will brighten any summer decor!!  Adorable in the tray or great without.  The completed size is 11 ½” by 6” and it features two flamingoes enjoying a summer day at the beach. This project is featured in Primitive Quilts & Projects Summer 2025 magazine!    Jill will have kitts available for purchase ($31.00) at the workshop.
